The ongoing influence of Bernardino of Siena continues to be felt today by all who are from Vinchiaturo. St . Bernardino of Siena was chosen by the inhabitants of Vinchiaturo the Town as their Patron Saint but he is also the Patron of Advertisers, Marketers, Communications experts, Compulsive Gamblers, respiratory problems and  any problems of the chest area. 

In addition to Vinchiaturo the Town and Vinchiaturo the Diaspora, he was made patron saint of  Carpi (Italia) the Philippines barangay Kay-Anlog, and the Cathedral of San Bernardino, California. He is the inspiration of Siena College, a respected University being a Franciscan Catholic liberal arts college in the State of New York  in honour of his spiritual patronage. One icon or statue of Bernardine is housed in the Augustinian Monastery of Marylake in King City Ontario, Province of St. Joseph the Worker also known as Canada.
